Juan Clemente Gómez was born in 1948 in Valencia. He studied Liberal Arts, Philology and Education. He owns several literary awards but its occupation as a teacher at a school in Elche is the one that provides him with great satisfaction. His first book in “The young collection”, Diario de Lolo (Lolo’s diary) was widely welcomed and acclaimed by readers and critics. He is married, with three daughters.
Stories about children who are marked, most of the times, by negative conditions created by adults. In Half a smile, with six short stories, children show us their life at school, in their neighbourhoods, with their families… from a tender point of view, full of solidarity with the weakest ones, with those who are victims.
