In A Children’s Visit, Gudrun Pausewang introduces the underdeveloped world by using a middle aged German couple enjoying their holidays in the company of her daughter, married to an important Latin-American businessman. The couple is enjoying the luxury and colours of a country whose language they do not understand and, because of several circumstances, they will end staying on their own in an opulent mansion for 48 hours…

Leena and her family move to violet house. “It seems to me that violet is such a mysterious colour”, she thinks. Racist graffiti appear on a wall at the high school Fran goes to. That provokes Fran and her classmates, who try to figure out how to unmask the offenders. In a given night, when Fran and her gang are hanging out, Aser, the Arab classmate, is brutally assaulted by a group of neo-Nazis.
